Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Standards for writing Scientific Articles in MJES

Articles must be arranged as follows:

1- Abstract: In addition to the keywords in both languages, the abstract of the study should be written in both Arabic and English and not exceed 250 words in either language.

2- On the first page of the research paper, include the name of the author/s, his current degree level, his major, Department, University, City, and Country. As the corresponding author, at least one author must be identified, along with his academic e-mail (Provide information on a separate cover sheet).

3- Introduction, including:

a. An overview of the research paper's title.

b. Statement of the Problem
c. Study Objectives

d. Significance of the Study

e. Hypotheses or Questions

f. Methodology

4- Findings

5- Conclusion 

6. Bibliography

General Standard for Publishing

  • Research papers must fit the scope of the journal.
  • Research papers submitted should not have already been published or be in the process of being considered for publication in another journal.
  • Any mention of the authors in the research article's text must be avoided. Identification should only be done on the cover page (double-blind peer review system) to ensure anonymity and objectivity in the evaluation of texts.
  • The research paper must follow the requirements for accuracy and consistency of the figures, tables, drawings, maps, or graphics typed in the Microsoft Word document. (if any)
  • Arabic texts must be typed in Simplified Arabic font, body 14, space 1.15 between rows, on an A4 sheet size (8.3 x 11.7 inches), with left and upper margins of 2.54 cm; right and bottom of 2.54 cm. 
    • The title should be no more than 12 words, specific, and objective. If necessary, it may be followed by a subtitle, typed type point size, and single-spaced.
  • English texts must be typed in Times New Roman font, body 12, space 1.15 between rows, on an A4 sheet size (8.3 x 11.7 inches), with left and upper margins of 2.54 cm; right and bottom of 2.54 cm.
    • The title should be no more than 12 words, specific, and objective. If necessary, it may be followed by a subtitle, typed in 16-point size, and single-spaced.
  • There must be 1.5 cm of space at the beginning of each paragraph and no spaces between paragraphs in texts.
  • Tables, graphics, drawings, and maps should all be numbered and titrated to indicate their source as closely as possible to the element to which they refer.
  • Articles must contain a minimum of 15 pages and a maximum of 35 pages.
