POLLUTION SCIENCE
Synopsis
Pollution is the accumulation of pollutants and their negative interactions with the environment. Pollutants usually originate from two sources, the first of which is the activities of living organisms and processes to which non-living materials are exposed. Essentially, it is the accumulation of waste resulting from the activity of living organisms. The second source of polluting materials is the result of natural processes such as the accumulation of mineral elements that stem from the melting of rocks or the interaction of seawater with fresh water due to drought conditions. However, the most dangerous examples of pollution remain those that coincide with human activities or occur because of them.
