Environmental Extension
Synopsis
The “Environmental Extension” book delivers a general background that deals with agricultural extension, its roles, objectives, activities, tasks, and multiple functions towards protecting the environment and preserving its resources from pollution, in addition to explaining the various knowledge about the environment, the ecosystem, depletion, and environmental pollution in its different forms.
The book also analyzes problems, issues, crises, ecological disasters, and methods for treating and preventing them from an agricultural extension perspective. Agricultural extension has several definitions, all of which revolve around urging its advised farmers to use science in the agriculture industry, production, and marketing, and its focus since the middle of the last century has been mainly in developing countries on field crops.
When dividing the book, it was taken into account following the form of educational units to maximize the educational benefit and thus was divided into integrated educational units, each of which includes one of the topics covered by environmental extension. Each unit begins with a set of educational objectives that express the behavioural changes desired of readers after unit study completion. This publication also took into account the logical scientific sequence of its contents, providing pictures, figures, and illustrative models.
