This study dealt with the sources of the image in modern Libyan poetry, tracing the effects of these sources on the poetic image, which came as an expression of the poet's self, his poetic experience, and his interaction with society, nature, and the universe. On poetic creation through the employment of a group of sources and artistic means and its ability to poetic formulation, and this study aims to demonstrate the multiplicity of sources of poetic imagery of our poet Ragab Muftah Al-Majri, so social life was - in the foreground - then nature with all its rigid and movable components, then cultural sources of religion and literature national source, One of the most important results is that the poetic lexicon of al-Majri has a variety of sources and many aspects, and this multiplicity has given the poet’s language fertility, richness and uniqueness, and his poetic language combines simplicity of expression and depth of meaning, and the poet knew how to link the elements of his language to fulfill his intention, by charging his words warmly Emotional honesty, and the nature of the image and the performance of its function appeared in a better way when Al-Majri because of the diversity of its characteristics, and the multiplicity of its patterns in his poetry, and he relied on it to clarify the meaning, convey his feeling, and communicate its impact to the recipient
