Abstract

Five chick-pea cultivars were assessed during 2005- 2006 seasons for their resistance to root rot and damping-off disease caused by Macrophomina phaseolina Tassi. Cultivars were varied in their susceptibility to the disease under artificial inoculation. The most resistant was Flip 94-70C, local variety was considered moderate resistant. Al- Erany , Flip 82-150C and ILC484, were the most susceptible ones respectively.
