Environmental and Community Service Department Organizes World Diabetes Day Commemoration

As part of its commitment to community and environmental service, the University’s Environmental and Community Service Department organized an event to commemorate World Diabetes Day on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in the Faculty of Pharmacy auditorium, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event saw the participation of faculty members from various faculties, where several important topics related to diabetes were discussed.

The event was attended by the Director of the Diabetes Center along with the accompanying medical staff, as well as representatives from the Food and Drug Control Center, deans of the faculties, faculty members, and students. The Beta Medical Laboratory contributed by providing awareness posters, along with special offers for diabetes patients.

Medical students from the faculties of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Medicine distributed awareness stickers and posters aimed at raising awareness and educating the community about diabetes and its prevention methods.

At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to the Director of the Diabetes Center, who praised the university’s role in serving the community and the environment. Participation certificates were also given to the faculty members involved.

 

This activity was organized in collaboration with the University’s Environmental and Community Service Department, the Mukhtar Center for Research and Consulting, the University’s Social Services Office, and under the supervision of the Environmental and Community Service Department team.
