A scientific session was held on Tuesday morning, November 26, 2024, on the occasion of the first World Geographic Information Systems Day at the Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts, in collaboration with the Al-Mukhtar Center for Research, Consulting, Scientific Services, and Training, and the Libyan Geographical Society. The session was attended by the Faculty Dean and a number of faculty members from the department. The session was opened with a speech by the Head of the Department of Geography.
The session focused on several topics, including the role of field digital data collection tools in advancing geographic scientific research, and Geographic Information Systems applications under the title (innovative solutions and enhancing environmental and service efficiency).
