Office of International Cooperation

Omar Al-Mukhtar University aspires to communicate with its regional and international surroundings and extend bridges of cooperation and communication between the University and higher education institutions and research centers, at home and abroad, through agreements and memorandums of understanding aimed at exchanging experiences, visitations, curricula, scholarships, and invitations to participate in scientific seminars and conferences concerned with developing scientific aspects and enhancing knowledge. The office also oversees the implementation of joint international projects for the betterment of the University and preparing delegations representing the University in official international forums. Also, the office manages and follows up on student affairs programs for students sent abroad emanating from the University’s bilateral agreements or provided through international competitive programs, in addition to overseeing procedures related to verifying the validity of the issuance of academic certificates issued by the University for international students.

Other main tasks include assisting faculty members in implementing sabbatical programs, assisting in procedures pertaining to meeting the University’s needs for foreign faculty members in accordance with the programs and bilateral agreements signed with the University, or official state agreements, and proposing programs and approaches that support the University and enhance its position regionally and internationally.
