On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the twenty-seventh meeting of the Committee for the Development of Academic Affairs, Research, and Administrative Work was held at the office of the President of Omar Al-Mukhtar University, chaired by Dr. Abdalmatlub. A. Bofrowa, President of the University, with the presence of a distinguished group of university leaders, including:
– The Vice President for Academic Affairs.
– The University Secretary-General.
– The Director of Faculty Affairs.
– The Director of Quality Assurance.
– Dr. Ali Bataw.
– Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Bukhari.
– Ms. Najla, Director of The Special Categories Office.
Dr. Abdalmatlub. A. Bofrowa began the meeting by welcoming the attendees, praising the university’s honorable participation in the Libyan Universities Programming Competition, which is the largest competitive gathering for Libyan university students in the field of information technology. The competition was held on October 26 and 27 in the city of Benghazi.
Excellence befitting Omar Al-Mukhtar University
The university participated with two distinguished teams:

– Abdul Razzaq Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq

Team Two:
- Coach: Dr. Rabi Al-Alwani

– Rahaf Fathi Ali
– Hadeel Abdullah Amtoul
Despite the strong competition among 21 universities and 41 participating teams, both teams managed to achieve the 7th and 10th positions, reflecting the creativity and excellence of Omar Al-Mukhtar University’s students.
Dr. Abdul Moneim Saad gave a comprehensive presentation on the competition, reviewing the competition stages, the selection mechanisms, and explaining how the university’s students stood out among the competing teams.
At the end of the meeting, the President of the University, the Vice President, and the members of the development committee honored the participating teams by awarding them certificates of appreciation for their outstanding efforts and leading positions.
Dr. Abdalmatlub. A. Bofrowa, in his speech, emphasized the importance of supporting creativity and innovation, stressing that the university is committed to providing an academic environment that motivates students to participate in national and international competitions and to develop their technical and practical skills.
“These achievements are not just personal successes, but a victory for the entire university, and a step toward strengthening its position among Libyan and regional universities. We believe that our students are the future, and we support every effort that leads to the development of their skills and talents to achieve a distinguished place among local and global universities,” said the President of the University, concluding his speech and urging everyone to continue working together to achieve further accomplishments.
Through this achievement, Omar Al-Mukhtar University confirms that creativity and excellence are integral to its vision and encourages its students to continually participate in initiatives and competitions that contribute to developing their potential and enhancing their presence in scientific and technical arenas.
