The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Omar Al-Mukhtar University welcomed the first-year students for the new academic year on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, with a special introductory lecture which aimed to introduce the students to the Faculty’s academic system, important regulations, and to highlight the scientific and community activities that distinguish the Faculty.
The Faculty Dean, opened the lecture with a welcoming speech in which he expressed his happiness at the joining of the new generation of students, encouraging them to be diligent and hardworking to excel in the field of veterinary medicine.
This was followed by a comprehensive introductory lecture, covering all the academic and organizational aspects the new students need to understand the college’s study system, which made the beginning of their university journey clear and easy.
The Director of the Environmental and Community Service Office at the college, also delivered a speech highlighting the role of the college in serving the community and the importance of veterinary medicine in developing livestock and protecting public health. Her speech coincided with an impressive presentation that showcased the faculty’s prominent scientific and community activities in previous years, inspiring the new students to actively participate in such activities in the future.
