This morning, Tuesday, 29th August 2023, at the opening ceremony of the “Eighth International Conference on Arab Impact Factors,” the International Abada Award for Outstanding Research in the Humanities for the year 2023 was announced in the Arab world. The award was presented to the distinguished Libyan academic, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Mansouri, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Omar Al-Mukhtar University – Libya, for his internationally published research and various scientific activities.
The ceremony took place at the University of Jadara in Jordan under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, and was attended by Prof. Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, the Jordanian Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Ati, Director of the Arab Impact Factor Project, Mr. Ahmed Al-Binoni, the cultural attaché at the Libyan Embassy in Amman, and a large number of scientists and university presidents from the Arab world.
The Abada Award is an international prize awarded by the Natural Sciences Publishing Foundation and funded by the African Academy of Sciences in the fields of science and mathematics, named after Dr. Abdel-Shafi Obada, a world-renowned mathematician, in recognition of his excellence. The award encourages innovative and interdisciplinary research that goes beyond traditional boundaries and ordinary models, aiming to promote global values of excellence, creativity, justice, democracy, progress, and enhance scientific, technological, and human achievements.
