A scientific field trip for the students of the Animal Production Department at the Faculty of Agriculture took place on Thursday, 1st December 2022, accompanied by faculty member Mr. Issa Amrane Benaicha. The purpose of this visit was to cover some practical aspects of the Goat Production and Sheep Production courses. During the visit to a sheep slaughterhouse in the city of Al Bayda, the students gained practical knowledge about slaughtering, internal animal organs, the digestive system, determining the age of the animal by its teeth, understanding the percentage of fat adherence in the carcasses, and the correct method of slaughtering to ensure meat quality.
