This morning, Thursday, May 23, 2024, the Law College at Omar Al Mukhtar University organized a workshop titled: “Legislative Reform of the Criminal Justice System,” which addressed legislative deficiencies in Libyan penal law, procedural proportionality in criminal justice, and the development of procedural systems in Libyan criminal legislation.
The college organized this workshop in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme in Libya, with the attendance of experts from law faculties in Libyan universities, as well as a select group of legal advisors, judiciary members, public prosecutors, the Attorney General’s Office, some lawyers, legal experts, and faculty members from various law colleges.
