As part of its development plan aimed at achieving the desired standards of academic and administrative quality, a regular meeting of the Academic, Research, and Administrative Development Committee was held today, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the office of the President of Omar Al-Mukhtar University. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Abdalmatlub A. Bofrowa, President of the University.
The meeting included the following attendees:

– The Secretary-General
– The Registrar
– Director of the Faculty Members Administration
– Director of Quality Assurance
– Director of Graduate Studies
– Dr. Ali Bataw
– Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Bukhari
Dr. Abdalmatlub Bofrowa welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of this meeting in advancing the comprehensive development of the university. He affirmed that the tireless efforts to achieve excellence in both academic and administrative aspects reflect the university’s ambitious vision, which aims to meet the needs of students and faculty members while achieving local and international leadership.
In the first part of the meeting, the progress of the electronic archiving project was reviewed, with the presence of Mr. Mohammed Boujeldin, Director of the Documentation and Information Center. The project aims to:
– Digitize administrative documents to improve work efficiency
– Ensure easy access to information
– Enhance the sustainability of the university’s administrative processes
The second part of the meeting, attended by Dr. Abdel Salam Al-Fuwaris and Dr. Ismail Al-Fadhil, discussed the current status of the university’s laboratories. A comprehensive plan was presented, which included:
– Upgrading university laboratories to be advanced educational and research environments
– Training technical and scientific staff to use modern equipment
– Implementing regular maintenance programs for scientific equipment
The meeting concluded by stressing that achieving the university’s goals requires adherence to quality standards and careful and professional execution of development plans.
