This morning, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Omar Mukhtar University held introductory lectures for new students in the faculty’s auditorium, with the presence of the Vice Dean, several faculty members, and the Faculty Registrar. They explained to the students the importance of attending lectures and maintaining regularity in studies to ensure good academic performance, as well as the procedures related to studying and exams.
The faculty members also discussed several important points, including the role of the university administration in developing the main objectives of the strategic plan and establishing the general policies governing higher education and scientific research.
The Faculty Administration also provided an overview of the responsibilities of various departments related to academics, as well as the faculty’s mission, regulations, and the rights and duties of students.
This academic program for new students accepted into the faculty is considered a fundamental part of the student’s educational journey and should be prioritized by the faculty annually, as it has a positive impact in preparing students mentally for university-level studies.
