Evaluating the application of the practical education program in the College of Education - Al-Bayda University, Omar Al-Mukhtar University from the point of view of student teachers

The research aimed at evaluating the application of practice teaching program in college of Education in OMU in Al- Beida through three principal dimension: The role of the teaching supervisor, the role of the cooperative teacher, and the role of the manager in the institution being applied in. The sample contained (103) student teachers selected in a way intended to include 10 departments, randomly within each department. To achieve the objectives of this research, several hypotheses were formulated, The most important was that who was the student teachers’ estimation- regardless of their different specializations- to the effectiveness of applying practice- teaching program in the three dimension mentioned before. A questionnaire was detected for its validity and reliability. The data was collected, tailed and analyzed statistically. The most important result was that the student teachers’ estimation was positive was an average High (85%), Medium (77.16), Medium (74%), High (78.75%) for the effectiveness of The role of the teaching supervisor, the role of the cooperative teacher, and the role of the manager in the institution being applied in , and applying practice- teaching program in order. The research concluded with a number of recommendations; the most important of them was emphasizing the application of practice teaching as important as- if not more important than- theoretical teaching. It also emphasized the importance of the three dimensions in practice teaching and the necessity of coordinating between them so as achieve the objectives of practice teaching. Moreover, it emphasized the importance of reframe the practice teaching office so that more assignee teaching staff might join the office for planning, implementing and supervising practice teaching program. There were also many other detailed recommendations in the research.
