Abstract

The Music Education is one of the important subjects that have lots of obstacles that stands in the way of its being considered like other subjects and being conceived of as pure musical activity. It is often misunderstood since it includes two important aspects, the educational aspect with its cognitive. emotional, practical dimensions and the applied practical aspect in terms of being an artistic musical activity. Therefore, this study aimed at finding out the status of music education in Libya from the point of view of the teachers themselves. The study found that the concept of music education class was not clear where schools did not follow the ministry of Education music curriculum due to the lack of music teachers on the one hand, and the fewer number of supervisors on the other hand. At the end, the study concluded a number of conclusions and recommendations that would hopefully benefit stakeholders in the future.
